Slovakia - Fair in Stará Ľubovňa and the Little Labyrinth

In Stará Ľubovňa we actually only want to buy an internet sim card from Telekom. We don't yet realise that this will be a somewhat lengthy undertaking. The Telekom server for activation has just crashed, so we suggest strolling through town first, having a leisurely coffee and then picking up our hopefully activated Internet card.

No sooner said than done. The annual autumn market is taking place in the town. We stroll around a bit, but find nothing worth seeing except handicrafts, handicrafts and clothes from cheap Far Eastern factories. In the café, we are treated to a delicious meal and, above all, given tips about the region.

Later, in the telecom shop, the sad news: It's probably not going to work today, but we should go back to a telecom shop in the next town, where they might be able to help us. But not until tomorrow! They didn't know when the main server would be working again.

On the onward journey, we stop briefly at the botanical garden and the labyrinth, which were recommended to us. The botanical garden turns out to be a bed around the labyrinth. In the labyrinth itself I get to know my husband from a completely new side: he doesn't like it at all. The more we get lost, the grumpier he gets. I, on the other hand, find it all funny, dash back and forth along the paths and at some point we find our way out again, I could laugh myself sick, but he is "not amused".

Well, you don't have to like everything!

The next wooden church is on the programme. Unfortunately, the programme has been made without us and we are standing in front of closed doors. So we walk around the building once and now at the latest we realise: Today is somehow not our day!

Here, too, it is called: Accept what is. And accept what cannot be changed!

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter

We are also very happy to hear your views, your tips or your questions. Just comment on the post!
