Tunisia - How can you recognise a hairdressing salon here?

Tunisia - How can you recognise a hairdressing salon here?

We always laugh at the creativity that German-speaking hairdressing salons display when it comes to finding names. Would you like examples?

"Four Hair Times", "Hair? Exactly!", "Hairbracadabra", "Sahaara", "Hair-Reinspaziert", "Liebhaarber" or perhaps "Kamm in!

No matter, things are different in Tunisia. Here you don't need a fancy name, here you just put your clothes horse in front of the door and everyone knows that hair is cut or beards are trimmed here.

As an aside, we only see men's hairdressing salons in public spaces. There seem to be hidden salons for women, but we have not encountered them yet. Just as we see women rather little(er) in cafés, restaurants or at the market.

But the clothesline marketing in front of the door definitely seems to work. Every time I photograph a salon (or their clothesline), there's a lot going on inside!
