Great Journey 🛴 Day 380
"Fast as the wind" were only others. I had the excuse, which sounded good to my ears, of wanting to enjoy the area.

After the hike along the Gastlosen, there were suddenly scooters (that's what scooters with more or less good brakes are called here in Switzerland) waiting for us. We quickly put on one of the beautifully shaped and very stylish helmets and off we went.

I'm a teensy bit sceptical about the gravel, Gerd and our daughter just whizz off. I realise that rolling downhill slowly can also be fun. And you still get to the bottom, have much more of the route and even have time to watch the squirrels.

Gerd waits for us in the curves like a Formula One photographer, and in the evening we are the proud owners of hundreds of photos of us on the gravel. I even see that he had activated the sport mode in the camera and carefully note that this must have been more than exaggerated with my snail's pace downhill scooter.

When we reached the bottom, all three of us noticed our thighs twitching. This unaccustomed squatting position over several kilometres was quite something.

And a little note to all those who are wondering why we are currently in Switzerland: Our journey is not over, we're making a little visit home and soon we'll be moving on. That's for sure.
