They happen again and again. The "self is the woman" moments. We ride a few Jurassic passes in the evening. Suddenly Gerd can no longer shift gears. He has lost the Pinöckel for shifting gears. (Hey, BMW, after just under 4000 km he already has the first screws loose. Can it? Is it allowed?) We stop, walk back a very long road at 33° C and indeed: we find the little runaway! But we can't find the screw. But no problem, I look for spare screws at the roadside and find them. Wire always works. A bit rusty, but no matter. I mumble the wire several times around the gearshift thingy and the bracket and the journey continues.
And who says I wasn't born to be a motorbike mechanic?
