Great Journey 🏍 Day 96
Travel acquaintances are wonderful things. We exchange ideas and listen to stories. This time we talk about travel books. And believe me, I thought I had read almost all German-language motorbike travel books.
And then Barbara tells me about a book that I'm sure I'll like. Of course I order it, load it onto our digital bookshelf and start reading. I stop for a moment and think that Gerd has to read it too. So once again it's reading time for us. We put on windproof clothes, trudge to the beach, let the sun shine on us and I start to read. To read aloud.
"To find out what is beyond the horizon, there is no means but to travel in person. To travel on and on." (Quote from "Beyond the horizon on the right")
These are those wonderful moments of a trip that we want to remember: experiencing something together. Today it was the book reading on the beach in Greece.
By the way: in December 2020, where the world kind of stands still and goes crazy at the same time. It could truly have been worse for us.
