Great Journey 🏍 Day 256
Hunger, wee, cold! On top of that rain!
After three sunny do-nothing days at Motocamp, we go on an excursion on the fourth day. To beautiful waterfalls and a cave.

It already gets wet on the way there, but not too bad, good clothes really do keep everything out.

At the waterfall car park we are told to walk 500 metres. No problem, we walk that easily in motorbike boots and full gear.

EU funds have been used to equip a forest here with WiFi. OK, we now have internet, but unfortunately we can't read the hand-painted signposts. Our Translate app keeps asking whether the recognised characters are Chinese.

We simply follow the blue signposts (the green ones would have been!), clear that this does not lead to the waterfalls 500 metres away. It's also clear that it's a steep climb, and clear that it's now starting to rain. We don't know from which direction we are getting wetter: from the rain or from the now heavy sweating. (Did I mention that we had taken off our rain gear at the car park?)

After about 6 kilometres we arrive again at the aforementioned crossroads, have seen beautiful forest (with WLan, of course!), a small rocky outcrop here and a bit of a trickle there.

First we treat ourselves to a break with Bulgarian fast-food snacks and then finally ask for directions. Not 150 metres further on we find the waterfall, really very beautiful.

But now we must hurry on before the next rain shower comes. Which we will of course take with us on the motorbike.

All in all, it was a nice outing: Malou finally got rid of the dust of the last few weeks, our rain gear was allowed out again to show what it can do and we now know that we have really good boots. I would still prefer other boots for hiking, but they do well for 6 kilometres on slippery forest floors!
