First Umfaller 🇳🇴 Day 19
You always wonder what a GS looks like from below. Et voilà! For all those who have always wanted to know, I spared no effort and put my Malou (and myself along with her) down.
I would have liked to write something spectacular. Moose from the front, I spontaneously took extremely risky evasive action into the ditch, just barely braking before the rock face.
Unfortunately, my beloved is reading along and I'm so super bad at fibbing. So I have to disappoint you: We turn into a car park (to take photos for the 1000th time and let the following car pass), Gerd stops. Stands. I pull up and just keel over. Out of nowhere. I lie under the bike, handlebars and suitcase protect me wonderfully. The helmet gets a right scratch on the visor (better the visor than my nose). The audio book in my ear is annoying. At least the motorbike turns off. Gerd asks through the helmet, are you OK? And then this emergency call we have on the motorbike beeps incessantly. Oh man, that's annoying.
Gerd first puts out the BMW-SOS-Malou-lying-emergency call (a pity in retrospect, I would have liked to see the BMW-always-online-special-force taking care of my Malou), I claw my way out from under Malou and we hoist the "little one" up. And I just drive on, so as I said: nothing spectacular, unfortunately.
