Agenda item 2 on a quiet Saturday: leisurely küvelen through the Emmental. I have to do that now, because I have to use the whole width of the tyres. As we set off, we think about where to go. Gerd actually reads the Blick (attention, he said it himself) from time to time and it said that the most beautiful village in Switzerland 2019 would be very close to our Werksatt. So let's go to Trub. Trub lies on the Trueb and is rightly described as a beautiful village. Somehow far back in a valley, in the beautiful Emmental, there is a tiny village on a hill with everything you need. Beautiful views, a country inn, a church, monochrome planted cemetery, a lot of nicely scattered yellow hiking trail signs, romantic babbling mountain stream and small bridges.
We take a break, sit and enjoy the sun, cuddle strange cats, read to each other (actually, I always read to each other), observe the quiet hustle and bustle and are once again really content.
Finding 1: Trub is worth a little trip, I think for hiking a quite enchanting hiking stop.
Finding 2: We both like a little driving and a lot of rest. The Emmental is known for slow travel.
Finding 3: Reading travel reports is a great stimulant for the desire to travel. OK, whether we need that in addition is open to question. -----------------------------------
