Today a huge merci goes to my driving instructor Jürg Lüthi!
After he actually managed to give me the courage and take away my fear, I have finally been riding a motorbike with a valid driving licence since the end of 2018. (And without the stupid blue L).
I rode 136 km of nothing but bends today. First through the Appenzell countryside (dreamlike!), then through all of Liechtenstein (the prince had just flown out, so I kept going...) and then 365 bends to Arosa. As a beginner, I'm still a bit slow on the road (good thing it's low season and I'm not holding up the traffic too much!) but I even managed to enjoy the bends. Okay, a little. That I find kürvelen so really, really cool, well there is still a bit missing... Thank you Jürg for your perseverance with me! - - -
PS. Tonight in Arosa's pizzeria: "You, you're the bike driver with the Bernese number, aren't you?" "Yes, why?" "I saw you today, you were riding in front of me the whole time. It's good that you made room for me at some point. But you're already doing quite well...! - - -
