Norway Tour ?? Day 6
We have slept in. I've been lying awake since 4 am. 34 hours of sleep with small breaks is enough for now. Shortly before 6 a.m. it gets light, we get up and pack a soaking wet tent in beautiful sun and mystical fog. And a soaking wet tarp. And I don't know what else is wet. But our clothes are dry. Sleeping bags and mats too. Everything is tiptop.
Off-road up the steep slope from the campsite (which is now nice and wet). At the top I already feel heroic. Now we really spend the whole day driving through Telemark. At some point we are sure to reach the southern coast. Actually make it after about 11 hours on the road, about 8 or 9 hours on the bike. And what can I say? A dream. The driving is just brilliant. The roads are almost empty. And the view to the left and right presents us with beauty. I'm beginning to wonder what Gerd still wants to photograph. It is simply beautiful. Everything. Each of the pretty little houses, we think, is in the best place in the world. Every few minutes the intercom in the helmet sounds, "Wow, look, so beautiful!" And he's right!
