Great Journey Day 480
We spend the festive season with the family. We didn't imagine it would be like this. Life always happens when you are actually making completely different plans.
So now we're in Germany, sitting under (actually next to) the Christmas tree and chowing down on the Christmas (almost) traditional menu. Siri lets the fireplace crackle and the music play, the baked apples give off the "childhood memory scent", I let the knitting needles rattle and our coffee junkie family's fully automatic machine groans under the load.
The moaning shows itself through constant whining something like this: "My coffee grounds container is full!" or "I'm out of water!" or even gladly "I want to be descaled NOW!" When I heard the word "fully automatic coffee machine", I would have expected more initiative.
Of course, there are also gifts. This time, we are only giving small Swiss souvenirs and prefer to support people and organisations that need it more urgently than we do.

We will have to return the dreamcatcher. The first dream was only half delivered, a shuttlecock 🏸 was missing. Did this racket get stuck in the dream catcher? Questions upon questions. And why do we dream about badminton rackets at all?
And the best thing about these days: the togetherness, the eternally long hike through a - literally - rainy forest, the talking, the laughing, the listening, the sobbing while watching "Love Actually" and the unnoticed eating away of all the goodies that first adorn the table, then our (my?) hips.
But now we're moving on, I wonder what's waiting for us up there in the north?
