We roll into central Switzerland, towards Lake Zug to the HU meeting. Here we will again give our talk and, more importantly (for us), meet many travellers, see friends again and fill our hearts with travel inspiration for the years to come.
All this came true. We were especially happy about the reunion with Barbara and RobertWe knew each other online for a long time and spent part of the lockdown together in Greece, so we were always in close contact. In addition, Robert is probably the best tinkerer, screwdriver and awl-maker of all.
Our water thief is intact again, the fridge too. The driver's door is repaired and a few other little things that we somehow can't fix with our computer skills and office fingers. (We can't actually fix anything!) We cooked together, sweated in the blazing sun at well over 30 degrees and listened to really great talks. And yes, we are inspired! If all goes well, we'll be back on the road "for real" in November.
Then, shortly before our talk, the next surprise: our daughter came to visit us in a hurry (almost 5 hours drive!). What a joy! She quickly set up her tent between our campers and announced that she would stay for a week. What a joy!
We must have passed on this spontaneity and longing for family warmth to her. There are worse things, aren't there?
"Mum, I'm going on holiday with you now!" "Aha, and what does that mean?" "An ice cream at least once a day, swimming quite often and chips instead of dinner in the evening."
All right, it's a deal. I still remember their desire to come with us to an all-inclusive resort. to travel and am glad that this time it sounds more like our lifestyle.
So for the first time we looked for a camping site in Switzerland to spend the days together. Gerd took the train to work in the morning, we girls made plans for our daughter's future, opened our laptops now and then to work, and above all: we went camping on the Aare in Solothurn.
The time passed far too quickly. We try to keep the memories in our hearts. Full of inner warmth of heart and outer summer heat, we enjoyed the last days in Switzerland. Saying goodbye to family and friends and rolling comfortably towards Berlin. But that's another story.

Our first lectures in Switzerland are planned. Others in Germany could follow. We'll see. We would love to take you into the Persian world somewhere in western Germany and also in the Berlin area. We are still looking for venues. If you know anything, please write to us.
