02 September 2019

We land in Oslo. We drive through the fjord into the harbour and my pulse rises. Off the ferry. Everything is fine. Oslo's city traffic also welcomes us calmly. Not even 10 minutes later we are in front of our hotel. In the city centre. And see: no parking space. So we roll onto the pavement and look around questioningly.
A nice gentleman comes out of the hotel and looks back questioningly. Do we want to go to the hotel here? Yes, with pleasure. Good, just a moment! And already a narrow door opens, the laundry trolleys are pushed aside and we push our wide boxes (millimetre work!) through a narrow corridor into a narrow courtyard. We are greeted friendly in German. And they hope that we won't want to leave until tomorrow morning. Because as soon as the door closes behind us, laundry trolleys, food crates and the discarded freezer ensure that no one will ever get through here again. Tomorrow morning, the doorman promises us, everything will be tidy.
How we get out of there tomorrow morning, however, is a mystery to me. Gerd even thinks we could turn around in the narrow courtyard. Well, I'm curious about that. I will wait relaxed at the exit while he turns two big machines on the side stand. 🙂 #bestparkplatzever #glückgehabt
