Today we'll talk about the sporting challenge of crossing the Alps.
I admit it, I am absolutely not sporty. I am untrained but highly motivated. I'm about 9 kilos overweight. And I have a big goal. Once across the Alps on foot.
In numbers: 14,000 metres in altitude. 250 kilometres. 30 days. 10 to 12 kilos of backpack luggage. And one goal: to conquer the summits. The feeling of having made it spurs me on. In my mind's eye I can already see the view down below. In my heart I can already feel the joy. On my body I feel the tingling when I take a break after a demanding climb and crawl tired and happy into my sleeping bag in the evening. All this drives me on. All of this makes me pre-happy. And yes, all this even makes me do things I would never have thought of myself: doing sport to prepare.
What I do to get my body and the backpack over the Alps, I tell in this podcast episode
Here are the links I told you about in the episode:

Here are my Barefoot shoeswhere I currently train and also jog.
These are the ones I will take with me as walking shoes: Vivobarefoot Hiker
Here you can find more information about barefoot running: Bernd Gerber
Here is another report about the Walking barefoot in the forest.
If you have any tips, if you have any ideas, I am very interested. Otherwise, after the hike I will be able to draw a conclusion as to whether my minimal training was worth it.
Here again why I am doing this Alpine crossing
