Sweden - Nights in Winter

Great Journey 🇸🇪 Day 517
We spend the night in Söderhamn in the harbour with a view of the mirror-smooth frozen lake. Here, in the harbour cottage, we even find a warm, spotlessly clean shower and washing machine and dryer. Good thing we did the laundry first. Well, we are happy about it anyway.

We continue, away from the expressway, a little inland. We know that there is supposed to be a beautiful landscape here. But unfortunately it is snowing like crazy and so we don't really see much. Our camera tries to capture a few things. But neither the pictures nor the landscape are really great.

So here are just a few pictures from the day before. In Örnsköldsvik (can someone pronounce that?) we decide to simply drive back tomorrow and take a look at the whole thing in the forecast sunshine. The morning in Örnsköldsvik alone suggests a dream landscape with an eternally long sunrise.By the way: we currently live in a sunrise/sunset mood from 9 o'clock in the morning until about 3 o'clock in the evening (haha). After that it gets dark and we have candlelight for dinner. Just like for dinner. You could actually go straight from one meal to the next.

The long nights - should we rather say long nightly dark period? - our bio-rhythm changed. We actually sleep between 10 and 12 hours here. Does us a lot of good. So if we don't post here anymore, our bodies have gone into a permanent hibernation. Like bears or turtles... Please don't wake us up then. We'll probably wake up again in March.
