Great Journey 🏍 Day 182
Herb witch in action

Around Christmas time, the marigold flower bloomed here in large quantities.
I couldn't help it, I had to collect them and dry them. And off they went into our landlady's fresh olive oil. I found some lavender by the wayside, which gives the oil a delicate fragrance.

At the market I asked for beeswax. I actually make the riblusa, the marigold ointment with candelila wax, but I can't get it here. So a week later, the honey seller gave me some wax. Wax for the next hundred years, I guess.

Last week I opened my herb witch kitchen, collected small jars and jars from acquaintances and friends and brewed a wonderful calendula ointment with a few additional Bach flowers and arnica. The velvety wax scent dominates, the ointment smells delicately only of lavender and wonderfully of honey.

Now the ointment is filled and ready to give away. In the meantime, it also cares for our skin, which is tanned/reddened by the sun. And yes, we have a lot of sun again in the meantime.

Such a great idea from you dear Heike - to use the gifts of nature even when you are far away.... Kind regards to the herb witch made by Greece
