Norway Tour ?? Day 9
We wake up at six. And we are in top form. It is noticeable that we always crawl into the tent early.
We are leaving Stavanger. A pity on the one hand. On the other hand, the sun beckons, dry roads and another adventure. We want to go to the Lysefjord. A more than 40 km long fjord with cliffs on both sides. But until we get there, we have to - I think - take the diversions over the moon. My sat nav now goes on full strike and refuses to give me any destinations, leading me zigzag everywhere but to Lysebotn, the end of the fjord. My paper map helps me keep track.
Gerd drives ahead as usual, in the lunar landscape and also in the canyon it gets quite narrow in parts, the road single lane. In my ear, the communication system repeatedly sounds: "All clear!" And only very rarely: "Watch out, car!" So I can kürvel in a relaxed way. And we have to, because there are many bends here.
The roads are almost empty, we are clearly in the low season. A wonderful time of year if, as we are just discovering for ourselves, temperatures between 10 and 16 degrees are considered pleasant motorbike travel temperatures.
Here is how to get to Lysefjord: Stavanger > Høle > Dirdal > Sinnes > Lysebotn
