Great Journey 🏍 Day 130
I sit on the "back seat" and let myself be chauffeured through Greece. Look left, look right, dream and enjoy. Every now and then Gerd asks me for directions (actually I should be responsible for that today) and nothing else happens. We wanted to get to Kalamata on the smallest roads that are still passable.
Suddenly my beloved brakes sharply, stops and points ahead. Directly in front of us on the road, a turtle creeps across. We have to take a closer look. But it has also noticed us, just stops. Looks and waits. Beautiful.
Although there is really not much traffic on the road (to be honest, we haven't seen a single car for ages), Gerd then picks up Schildi and carries her to the meadow at the side of the road. The head and legs disappear and the visible shell remains.
We hope we didn't scare her (him?) too much.
