Great Journey Day 705
We arrive at the sea. After a short wrong turn and "back up the narrow road again" action, we get closer to our destination for today. Ardmore.

The weather is warm, the sun is shining and we walk along the promenade. Ardmore shines with a beautiful beach and even more beautiful cliff walk.

We park and ask the ice cream vendor if we can stay here overnight. After all, we are still used to the many "No overnight Parking" signs in Scotland and England. "No, you can stay here until Christmas!" Laughs, hands us our soft ice cream over the counter and wishes us lots of fun in Ardmore.

We set off, stroll through the small town and arrive at the circular hiking trail high above the cliffs of the small peninsula. The view is fantastic, the waves lash against the rocks and the many shades of green of the meadows paired with purple and yellow carpets of flowers fascinate us.

On the way back through the city, we are amazed by the many beautiful, lushly overgrown and immaculately maintained gardens. Gerd shouts his admiration over the fence to the owners: "Very beautiful, but a lot of work, isn't it?" "Isn't it wonderful? The most beautiful work you can imagine!" it comes back with a laugh. Yes, you can see it in the owners' faces and in the garden!

In front of our Felix, directly on the promenade, we are given a small private concert by 5 "young ladies" who play music. A few of our coins go into their violin case and we both beam with joy.

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter

Hooray!
I'm here and looking forward to the daily post from you! ❤️
It's crazy how naturally people spend their precious time on Facebook and so on.
I've been thinking this for a long time and I keep falling for it. 😔
I have 2 groups on Facebook and no idea how to get them out. 🙄

I am very excited about the newsletters and look forward to your beautiful photos and reports.

Have a good journey and best regards

Rachel

Me again.
I think I know what's so different about Facebook now.
You can also read the comments of others. ☝️
That somehow gives a "we" feeling.
Here I only see my own.
It feels strangely "lonely".
