Greece - Koroni style post office

21 April 2021

Great Journey 🏍 Day 231
We are waiting for a letter. Sonja and Claudio from the @pegasoreise podcast sent us a sticker for Malou.

Our task now for days: combing through the boxes in the post office in search of the one letter. Unfortunately, we still haven't found it, so we'll probably give up and hope to meet the two motorcyclists on their evening tour.

In the meantime, we'll give you an impression of the post-sorting interpretation in the local style. Calm, cosy. A bit of creative chaos. After almost 5 months here, I actually find it quite nice. You meet, chat, leaf through letters, and then you know right away what insurance your neighbour has. There are still letters from November 2020, a lot of Christmas mail and thousands of energy, water and internet bills. Apparently they don't get collected, no one needs them.

I notice how a calm has settled over us. Gerd says to me very briefly, "Then let's go again tomorrow." OK, let's do that.

PS: By the way, we praise the scanning service of @peaxbox for our "real" mail. All we have to do is log in and we have all the mail nicely sorted in our browser window. We can download it and file it digitally. Okay, they can't do stickers. And we don't experience any of the search adventures described above. Which we find very very good!
