Sweden - And suddenly we saw moose

Great Journey 🇸🇪 Day 533
Being happy without desires is one thing. Having tiny little wishes is another. We have wished for reindeer and elks, northern lights and lots of snow. And Sweden gave us all that.

We drive quite slowly anyway, the co-driver ensures with her over-cautious gestures that the accelerator pedal has to bob along in easy-going mode. But the whole thing has one advantage: animals on the road have enough time to move away or - better still - to be photographed.

While we are driving up here through the seemingly deserted landscapes, the beautiful and graceful animals are running along the edge of the forest on the right and left. Sitting in the snow or nibbling the tips of pine trees. And us? We just stop (no one is driving behind us anyway), look, marvel, take photos.

Later in the evening we learn which of the animals have white puffy tails, why some reindeer only have one antler end and why we won't find any moose with shovel antlers in February.

What would we do without "this" internet? Carry around the 27-volume Brockhaus? Certainly!
