"The Mosaic Museum is a must," they say.
We enter and are surprised by a beautiful modern building. The latest technology, an audio guide in German and excellently restored mosaics from many centuries.
We let ourselves drift, marvelling at the diversity. Gerd rather likes the pictorial mosaics, I am more a fan of the graphic forms. Here a squiggle, there a curl. Exactly mine. But when it comes to Antep's "Mona Lisa", as they also call the gypsy girl mosaic, we all agree: simply wonderful!
So if you want to marvel at the craftsmanship, admire the beauty of past centuries or simply escape the summer heat, the Mosaic Museum is definitely worth a visit.
