Great Journey Day 440
We are on the road in Thuringia. Dam country. Max, our grandson dog, is taking his first holiday with us. And of course every forest path, every lake path and every leaf pile, no matter how small, has to be ploughed through.
We don't know what moves us more emotionally: his sugary sweet nature or the muddy wet leaves a little later in our van. (Should I have written bed? For more authenticity on social media?)
But how it is: one look up at us and everything is forgotten again. What simple creatures we are, who can be made to fall in love with the blink of an eye from those "clingy eyes".
We end the evening at "the pearl of the Thuringian Sea". What sounds like a sea and beach is actually just a small, pretty spa town on the Saale.
And because we now know how to cook, we have typical Thuringian dumplings.
All in all, a very wonderful day of travelling.
