Great Journey 🏍 Day 415
Dear Malou,
I drove you around for your first 20,000 kilometres. Neither of us really warmed up. You would have loved to show what you're made of. But how can you, when you're being driven by such a bitch?

In Rome came your big moment. Here you could show that you could carry both of us, luggage for many weeks to come. Finally you were manoeuvred well. In the bends you were finally allowed to show your lean angle and on the gravel I could already hear your little screams of joy. You were happily spraying stones and spinning wheels. Your way of showing joy, I suppose.

Your rattling boxer engine went to my heart. And whenever Gerd climbed on, I shifted to the pillion seat and made myself comfortable between our luggage-chair set-up, you were off. Another 20,000 kilometres you carried us through the country. You made the mostly male roadside observers smile. You were responsible for many thumbs-up. And indeed, you didn't let us down once.

We had lots of tools with us (and would probably never have known how to use them in an emergency), we preferred to drive with you to workshops and gave you the necessary service intervals. For your good, for our peace of mind.

You've been driving under the Lucerne flag for a few days now. You've got two new drivers who will have just as much fun on big trips and little jaunts as you do with us. We are quite sure of that. Maybe you'll also meet your brother, because after all he's also on the road in Lucerne. Then say hello to him from us!

You will drive over Swiss passes and once in a while you will remember how I proudly took my first ferry ride with you on Lake Lucerne.

Dear Malou, thank you for the many things I was able to learn through you. Thank you also for the wonderful time with and on you! And now: enjoy it and show what you do best: Give joy!

#byeMalou #Thankyouforeverything #NewChapterstartssoon #Merci

PS: Pünktchen, our travel zebra, will stay with us and change to the new vehicle with us.
