Great Journey Day 446
What we like so much about travelling are the times we go to bed and get up. When it gets dark, we are drawn in. And when the sun rises, we wake up.

Okay, there are exceptions. At the moment, a lot of them. Long conversations, us visiting, cosy punch (punch after correction!) and so on.

But when we manage to look out of the window in the morning, stroll across the fields and take the granddog for a walk, we have no choice but to admire this autumn. Slowly it turns into a winter with glitter on the wooden bridges and steam on the rivers, frozen dew on the meadows and bitterly cold fingers on our hands.

Maybe we should finally look for our gloves and ski socks in one of the boxes in our "garage", the junk box under our bed. Because that's where our winter clothes are - still nicely stacked and well stored.

What we already love: Turning on Felix's gas cooker, boiling water for tea and coffee, at the same time giving the heating knob a nudge towards 20 degrees and wrapping the blanket around us. Watch the sun play through the window in the morning. And already we have the perfect cosiness after an early walk.

I would never have thought that this could be fun in the van, even in autumn and winter. You can see how people can be surprised.
