Great Journey Day 450
Before our trip, I was always longing for our families, especially during the holidays. Last year, we celebrated separately from our loved ones in beautiful Koroni in Greece. But - and that was the way it was in 2020 - we were not the only ones who couldn't see their loved ones. Mind you: our case was self-determined.
For 2021 we were pretty sure that we would be somewhere far away again, maybe, we had once sent it out as a wish, our children would then visit us in this far away place.

The coincidence hit us like a ton of bricks. Somehow, in retrospect, really good. So right now we're spending autumn at home and filling up our family-life account. And I just can't get out of my skin when the days get shorter, the wind cuts and "Last Christmas" by Wham! sets the tone: I get soft-night-dreamy and want to drink children's punch, light candles and incense and make Advent calendars.
This year we opened the calendar workshop in our Felix and filled a calendar light version. Of course, beautifully sewn, recyclable fabric bags have also been lying ready for many years (our children always bring them back dutifully!). But where do you think these bags have been hiding? Possibly in one of the stored boxes.
So this year (without mulled wine, without Wham!, without incense), we had the sandwich bag version with basic chocolate filling and lovingly hand-painted. And since we live together in a cosy, small space, we share the work: I paint the googles and the numbers, Gerd gets to do the shading. Oh yes, the filling was also a challenge, after all, the aim was to have 2 little pieces of chocolate in each bag - and not in us.
Happy first Advent to all of you with "do-me-good-moments" and maybe also with "do-me-good-nibbles".
