Great Journey 🏍 Day 158
Field trip! Yeah, we're going on a little trip. We're taking the opportunity to visit Daniela when she's sick.
We drive to Kalamata, spend my birthday with Wolfgang and Daniela (we bring my birthday chocolate cake and surprise them with the information that we will now celebrate here, of course they had no clue that it is my birthday) and spend a dreamlike day on the balcony overlooking the harbour of Kalamata. With cake and coffee in paper cups. What counts is the time we spend together.

During a walk through Kalamata (I finally got a new second pair of socks, the first one was already beyond stuffing) we even discover an outdoor railway museum. Or should we say a railway graveyard? Apparently it's something like a city park, there would be cafés and lots of seating. The wagons would normally be open, it looks like various clubs have their place there.

Even without open cafés, there is a nice hustle and bustle, children play, joggers jog, inline skaters inline and we chat. So if you ever come to Kalamata, the railway park is recommended. Everything else in Kalamata is more for a quick drive-through.
