Great Journey 🇸🇪 Day 493
Nils Holgersson carries us to Trelleborg in his hull instead of his goose. We rumble off the ferry, find a place with the sound of the sea (we're too late for a sea view!) and organise:

⌨️ Swedish is added to the keyboards of our mobile phones
️ While I conjure up a chilli from leftovers, Gerd researches Swedish waste separation. (We will need 6+ more rubbish bins to be proper Swedish guests).
Since our car radio doesn't (yet) want to receive Swedish radio stations, we have to make do with an Abba playlist - the Swedish version, of course!
🇸🇪 Gerd starts Duolingo again to learn Swedish, I browse and read from the book "Fettnäpfchen für Schwedenbesucher". (As if we needed that...)
We also notice that our water has leaked somewhere between Germany and Sweden, we are on dry land. Our fridge is also leaking. Somehow we must have pressed a few too many buttons on our Felix for the ferry crossing.

So it's quite a cosy start, isn't it?

🤷🏻♀️ What do we know about Sweden?
🧐 What do we expect?
What are we looking forward to?

Lots of countryside. 10 million inhabitants, 23 per km², they have a king at the start and more Aes, Ees and Ues than in Turkey. Then there are over 200,000 islands and the whole country is about as long as Berlin-Sicily as the crow flies.

We have no idea what really awaits us. Winter, probably, small red houses, endless space, pretty little towns, cinnamon biscuits and a language that sounds like Dutch, but is incomprehensible to us.

What do we wish for? Oh, if we ever had a wish, moose and northern lights would be at the top of the wish list. But we will enjoy everything else, too, I promise!
