Cappadocia simply does me good. I drive through this enchanting landscape and am somehow satisfied. Malou already knows the way to Göreme and somehow I am standing in front of the same hotel as many weeks ago.
I spend the evenings with Verena and Edgar. We met in Bulgaria in the spring. We fill our bellies, they talk extensively about their van life and I am all ears. Solar panels, outdoor showers, life without a fridge and charging a laptop from a cigarette lighter. Everything is new to me. We are thinking about what the winter can bring, which route we could take and what else we would really like to do. Thank you, dear ones, for the wonderful 3 evenings in Cappadocia.
In the morning, I am once again standing enthusiastically on the roof terrace (oh no, Rooftop!) watching the balloons fly. A little later I am sitting in my usual place - today is Monday - in my rooftop office and working.
It is simply a wonderful place to stay. Nevertheless, we'll be moving on tomorrow. The longing grows, the route planning is no longer so dawdling. I'll have to decide soon whether I'll drive home through the Balkans, take a shortcut boat trip from Greece to Venice or take a completely different route.
