Great Journey 🏍🏍 Day 38

The highlight today: our first visit from home is coming up. Today it's the same again: we don't want to have a clue what to do. We just stroll through the city, let ourselves drift and realise that it almost doesn't matter where we go. It is simply magical everywhere.

Who thought up so much prettiness, please?

Gerd takes half of Friday for himself and his camera, I sit in the kitschy Rococo-versus-hotel-room office and work for a client in distant and autumnal Hanover. At some point the time has come, we pick up our friend from the train station, but learn 15 min before her arrival that Venice is on the Swiss "index" as of Monday.

The welcome is warm, but we postpone the decision on what she will do until Saturday - after all, nothing stands in the way of a visit until Sunday.

So the three of us fill up our "enjoy Venice with our eyes" account. And, since the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, Venice also enchants us in its culinary way.

Note: Gerd has taken about 500+ pictures - I am completely overwhelmed to sort the pictures this time.
