Iran - On the seabed without water

Iran - On the seabed without water

After we were Large family are allowed to spend the night on our doorstep (and are fed again, of course), the family council meets: What can we do with ourselves today, what can we be shown?

We casually mention that they are not responsible for our entertainment and that we can keep ourselves busy. Please don't make so much work of us.

But with Iranian families, as hospitable as they are, this is out of the question. So plans are made.

To be a little more self-determined, we drive after the little white car - what else? - with our Felix. Unfortunately, we don't get far, the road gets worse and worse, the ups and downs scare us. Afraid that we will never get out of here with our vehicle. So we leave our little treasure in the middle of nowhere and get into the little white car.

And what we see now is magnificent. A nature or national park, nobody knows for sure, simply marvellous. We quickly realise that we are standing on what used to be the seabed. We can really imagine the algae moving around us, the water metres high above our heads and all kinds of sea creatures swimming around us. A fantastic place.

The fact that we are here is once again thanks to this huge family, whose guests we have been for days. It's someone we know, or perhaps even a relative, who guards the entrance to the park. And then quickly gets into the little white car and shows us every hidden corner with great friendliness and a gleam in his eye. Here gazelles (the real Iranian ones, mind you!), there special birds (whose names we have once again forgotten). There caves and geological traces again and again.

What a mega trip! Many thanks again.

Merci for "travelling with us

We are thinking about taking another break from travelling in the summer and visiting our families in Germany and Switzerland. One of the ideas is to organise a Lecture about our long journey to the Persian Gulf to prepare. If you would like to, what would interest you the most? We will also tell stories here that don't find a place here on the blog. We're thinking of the Bern and Berlin area - simply because we have family there. But other places are also conceivable. Feel free to write to us.

Do you think our travel experiences might be of interest to others? Then you can share the Share post quietly. By e-mail or however you want to do it.

In addition, if you haven't already done so, you can use our Newsletter subscribe. Here you will receive all our experiences in your mailbox whenever we publish something new or once a week on Fridays: live-pur.ch/newsletter

We are also very happy to hear your views, your tips or your questions. Just comment on the post!
