Great Journey 🏍 Day 401-403
🇹🇷🇧🇬🇷🇸🇭🇷🇸🇮🇦🇹 Gerd
According to plan, the journey takes 35 hours. If we now add the small delay of 5 hours, I am on the road for quite a long time.

Two long nights, one super long day. (Perception of a jumble-track rider)
We move into our compartment, they put us (the only two motorcyclists) into a two-person cabin and we make ourselves comfortable.

There is no air conditioning, but you can open the windows. There is a nostalgic dining car that flies the Serbian flag (and cooks!). I also learn that the entire train is a relic from the GDR and its Reichsbahn. Considering that the country has not existed for 30 years, the train is in exceptionally good shape.

So we make ourselves comfortable, do what one does on such long journeys: eat, sleep, chat. Repeat. We are only interrupted from this rhythm at the borders, where we have to show our passports. We don't have to worry about our steel steeds (although there is quite a lot of plastic on Malou), they are firmly locked away, sealed and only released at the arrival point.

At the planned arrival time of 7 a.m. we are still comfortably in Slovenia instead of the expected Austria. OK, then we won't. We arrive late in the morning.

Only Malou resents the long incarceration. For the first time since we have been travelling with her, she is very stubborn and doesn't want to leave the wagon. A fellow traveller from Turkey then had the rescue jumper cable, Matthias took over the jump-start control and I?

Standing next to it and watching the whole story, I admitted, secretly of course and only to myself, that I had spent too long charging my gadgets at the USB charging port before loading and Malou drove onto the ramp with an almost flat battery.

Thank you once again for all the support I received throughout the journey!
Alps, here I come!

PS. Despite loaded equipment, I didn't think for a minute about taking photos of the trip. Well.
