We are once again in England, once again in Liverpool. We know immediately where we want to go. Namely away. Cities are still not our thing. So out to the sea!
So we drive down from the harbour area and continue through the city centre. And I remember that we wanted to visit the Beatles Museum after all. A sharp left turn and off to a nice parking space in the harbour.
In the middle of the week, the marina also has a place for us. We can fill up with fresh water, do our laundry and arrive first. So much for the topic, we have a plan. Everything always turns out differently anyway.
When the housework is done, we take time for a stroll through the city. The museum has long since closed, but tomorrow is another day, we suppose.
Gerd needs new shoes (he says!) and so I am forced to trudge through temples of shoes and clothes. I seriously ask myself how one can enjoy "shopping" or "lädelen", as we say in Switzerland, and spend a lifetime doing it.
When the shoe issue is successfully dealt with, we have a bite to eat in one of the many music pubs. We listen to live music and once again find that our spontaneous "in Liverpool lead" was a good idea.
In the evening we let ourselves drift, stroll through the harbour area back to our Felix, marvel at the setting sun, the architecture and especially this unmistakable dialect here, and then fall into the nest, rather crumpled, but looking forward to the Beatles tomorrow.
